In the final episode of Road Rules South Pacific, will the roadies overcome the toughest challenge yet and receive their handsome reward? Its all or nothing, check it out!
The episode opens with the cast anxiously awaiting information on their final mission. They are given directions to the location of the next challenge. This leads to a fight over who is going to drive, The original cast members Dave, Cristina, and Mary-Beth got in a short dispute with new members Jeremy Tina and Chris.
All is cleared up when the cast sets their sights on their upcoming challenge. A 75ft bridge spanning the grassy terrain below. It's a half/ rope ,half/ pole and 100% insanity. The mission mayors tell the contestants that if all 6 members successfully cross the bridge they will receive the last puzzle piece and the reward. The reward is at the end of the bridge and the contestants must all grab it or the mission is failed and no reward is won. What's the prize you ask? A brand new 2003 Subaru , VERY NICE. All the contestants s are excited. They pair up in groups of 2 and start the mission.
Chris and Tina are up first. The bridge is basically series of problem solving methods. The first is a large gap between both planks. Chris jumps and successfully gets to the next plank The next step is to maneuver past a large pole in between and other large plank gap. Christ jumps on the pole and is stuck, because he cant move on to the next plank. Tina follows what Chris did and now they are both stuck...smart huh? Tina falls, team #1 failed the mission they get one more chance later.
Dave and Christina also seem to suffer the same fate, Dave however solves how to safely jump the first plank, he jumps and hits it with his stomach ;Ouch. Dave reaches the hanging pole that was the cause of Chris' demise and he makes the same fatal error. Dave falls and fails, despite the rib snapping effort he showed on the first plank.
Jeremy and Mary-Beth are basically petrified about the fact that four of their team mate could not solve this puzzle, but persistently Jeremy is confident while MB's outlook is a little gloomier. Thanks to Dave's idea the 1st plank is solved . Then Jeremy reaches the point of the other players downfall. After some careful study Jeremy has an idea. Teamwork is the key to this mission, this is something Jer heard from the mission mayors. So he uses Mb to anchor him so he can reach out and grab the pole that the other guys jumped on. Jeremy then proceeds to use the pole to swing on to the next plank. The cast cheers. The rest of the bridge is navigated easily and Jeremy grabs his keys. MB struggles to get her keys as the clock ticks away, 25, 24,23, 22 and she grabs the keys. Mission Passed for team #3
After this great display of teamwork the remaining cast easily finishes their mission, each player has grabbed a set of car keys and they receive their final piece. Road Rules South Pacific is a success. The mission mayors give each player a ticket to L.A where they will get their vehicle. Back at the RV the players celebrate with a little champagne, and say how much each of them means to each other. The final tattoo piece is in place and everyone celebrates, tears and all.
We fast forward to Malibu Beach, CA where 6 AMAZING Subarus await for the contestants on the beach. It was truly worth the trip. As the camera focus on the setting sun over the ocean we are treated to the brief recap of the most memorable moments on Road Rules South Pacific.
I'm sure this cast is looking forward to returning to their families and also looking forward to returning to seek revenge for losing in this years face off.
