This finale came and went as fast as the show.

I must say a Monday night finale was not a good fit for my schedule as I missed most of the final romantic dates but I caught the most important stuff, the hello's and the goodbye's.

The first hour took all the couples on both sides of the coin to romantic, exotic places far from reality. The second hour was real stuff.

Kara and Jason : Kara decided she needed her independence. Jason finds that he has matured and is deeply in love. While he is disappointed with her decision to take a "breather", he respects that and the journey is over. However, as the credits role...we find that 2 weeks after taping they get back together and are living happily in Sin City: Las Vegas.

Melissa and Mike: One HUGE explosion. Melissa tells Mike she is shocked by what she saw on video and that they should call it quits. Mike doesn't take it like a man, and states he has nothing to say. He storms off and leaves her sitting. As the credits role, we find that they remain friends despite that stormy end, and Melissa will be visiting Jerome in Miami. Everyone in this triangle is single, for the moment.

Kristen and Eric: This was like something out of a story book romance novel. They both realize that they never ever want to be apart again, and that their love is deeper than ever. As the credits role, yes they are STILL in love and living in LA LA land... Los Angeles.

Anthony and Stephanie: This was TRUE heartbreak. Here you have two people who profess to be soul mates and love each other deeply, but Stephanie being the mature, and perceptive person that she is tells Anthony that she no longer makes him happy. I think Anthony felt better hearing this. He doesn't want be the bad guy. However, he does break down with Stephanie in a very emotional moment. They both state that they can't change to please the other. The tears flow as they are escorted off. As the credits role we see that Stephanie is now living with Jeff in Los Angeles, and Anthony is taking things slow with Ashleigh and still living in Chi town. What a shame. I still don't think these two are finished. Going into another relationship... is that really smart? with so many unresolved issues? Only time will tell.

My journey is over.
