We were in the South Seas last time for Road Rules: South Pacific, and now we head to Chile for the 13th Season, Road Rules: Xtreme. Our first stop is Pucon, where we first meet Patrick. Patrick is from Chicago, but goes to the University of Pennsylvania. Then we get introduced to Jodi, the lovely young lady from Richmond. She is a very athletic person, and Patrick thinks she can hang tough with all the guys. They board the very stylish covered wagon to pick up the other 4 Roadies.

Now we meet Danny, a guy who comes from New Jersey, and he says the last person he wants to live with is a homophobic person. He meets Ibis, who can speak Spanish and Portuguese, so she can fill the language barrier the Roadies might find. They hop on the wagon, and get to know Patrick and Jodi.

Then we meet Kina, who comes from the great state of New Jersey. Finally, we meet Derrick, who is 100% Polish, and is proud of it. They get in the wagon as well. They all start talking, but their trip in the wagon is over, because they arrived at the RV. Derrick wonders if any of the Roadies are Gay or Lesbian, since there is usually one person on every season. Danny says he has a boyfriend, and everyone seems fine with it, except for Derrick, but there is no time for that, because it is time for their first mission.

The Mission Mayors take the Roadies’ money and credit cards. Then they tell them that they are playing for an “Xtreme Key”. When they have all the “Xtreme Keys”, they can unlock the “Xtreme Machine”, where they get their “Handsome Reward”. Yeah, I know… the concept of the keys sucks, but I didn’t make it up. Also, like all seasons of Road Rules, if they fail two missions, they must vote off one Roadie, and they will be replaced.

If they can successfully complete their first mission, they will receive 1,650,000 pesos, as well as 6 Visa Credit Cards, with a $500 dollar spending limit. 1,650,000 pesos is $3000 dollars, so that is $1000 dollars for each Roadie. Now it is time for the first mission, Volcano Bungee. They must pair up into 3 teams of two, and bungee inside the most active volcano in Chile, Billerica Volcano. The first pair to jump are Derrick and Ibis, who successfully jump, and land on the ground. The second pair is Danny and Jodi, who are both afraid of heights, and want to overcome that fear, together. They fly in the helicopter, on top of the mountain, and on the ground, the others wonder if they jumped. Then they land on the ground, so it’s 2 down, 1 to go. The last team, Patrick and Kina, jump and land, and the mission was passed. The team receives their money, and their first Xtreme Key. In the RV, they notice a puzzle, where the key fits in to one of the slots. They must complete their puzzle to get their handsome reward.

There was a bonfire going on the beach, so the roadies decided to join. Derrick took over, and was jumping around and being extremely drunk. They all talked to him, and Kina had to carry him back into the RV. They all went to sleep, and then previews for the season show.
