In the episode titled “My Boyfriend’s Back,” on the same day that Hawaii’s most celebrated American Idol, Trias, checks in to The Grand Waimea, Tessa (Amanda Righetti) is surprised when a wealthy female guest arrives with a man in tow … who is none other than Tessa’s abusive ex-boyfriend, Roy (guest star Paul Francis). Roy’s looking to run a new scam at the hotel, and is determined to pull Tessa in to help him. She seems to be willing, but Roy doesn’t know she has a scam of her own in the works. Meanwhile, Jason (Kristoffer Polaha) and Vincent (James Remar) become suspicious of Nicole’s (Brooke Burns) fiancé Morgan’s (guest star Josh Hopkins) presence at the hotel – Morgan works for Nicole’s father, the hotel titan who has had his eye on The Grand Waimea for years. Elsewhere, MJ (Nikki De Loach) and Chris (Jay Kenneth Johnson) go on a horseback-riding date in search of a romantic beach, but they end up getting lost and tangled up with a set of locals who don’t care for intruders.
Trias, 17, was one of the most popular contestants on American Idol last season, finishing in the Top 3. Born and raised in Mililani, HI, she attends Maryknoll High School, performs for her church and school, and volunteers her time at the Kapiolani Hospital in the ER. Trias is currently on tour with the American Idol Top 10 finalists from Season 3.
