After being nominated for eviction by Drew Daniel, the third Head of Household, Holly King was evicted last night from the Big Brother 5 house by her fellow HouseGuests.
On Tuesday, Jennifer Dedmon won the Power of Veto and took herself off the block. Drew then chose to put Adria Okins (or was it her twin Natalie?) on the block in Jennifer’s place.
Holly received seven votes for eviction from HouseGuests Jennifer Dedmon, Karen O’Neil Ganci, Diane Henry, Marvin Latimer, Michael Ellis, Scott Long and Will Wikle. Jase Wiley voted to keep his “cuddle-monster” in the house. Drew was ineligible to vote as Head of Household unless there was a tie.
During last night's live broadcast, the model from Los Angeles, Calif., learned her fate, said her good-byes and left the house. After leaving Big Brother 5, Holly was interviewed by Julie Chen about her experience.
After the eviction, the HouseGuests began an endurance competition to see who would become the next Head of Household. The winner will be announced on the show Saturday, July 31.
Each Thursday, the HouseGuests compete to become Head of Household. The perks of the position include having a luxurious private bedroom stocked with favorite foods and use of the new plasma screen to spy on the other HouseGuests, but it also includes the responsibility of having to nominate two fellow housemates for eviction. However, one of the nominees can be saved from the chopping block if they or another housemate wins the Power of Veto competition and chooses to save one of the nominees while giving themselves immunity from nomination. If they choose to use the veto, the Head of Household must immediately choose another nominee.
Big Brother 5 is broadcast three nights a week on Tuesdays, (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), Thursdays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) and Saturdays, (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. |
