On the last episode of Road Rules X-Treme, the Roadies collected sweat in order to get their X-Treme Key. Angela cried through the whole thing, and everyone else got annoyed. She finally got over herself, and became friends with Jillian, the girl that had sex on her first night.

Well, it’s the night before the mission, and guess who’s getting drunk? It’s Derrick! Angela tries to talk to him, but he’s not really making a lot of sense. Angela says he’s a lost soul trying to be found, and he turns to alcohol for his problems.

Well, at the mission site, the X-Treme cast gets a surprise. It’s the Road Rules Face-Off between South Pacific! They are joined by Dave, Cara, Chris, Tina, Abram, and Marybeth from Road Rules 12. Last year, they lost their Face-Off against Road Rules Campus Crawl, so they are hoping to win one this time around. They will face off in four mini competitions, then the next day, they will have one major competition, and the winner of the Face-Off will win $12,000 from Caprisun.

Angela welcomes the six fellow Road Rulers by saying Patrick and Jillian had sex on her first night, and the South Pacific team laughs. Dave reveals that he and Cara are dating, and you would know if you saw the pair on The Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Gauntlet.

The first competition is a relay race, and the first people to go are Dave and Derrick, which Dave smokes Derrick, who is drunk. Dave passes it to Tina, and Derrick passes to Jillian, and Jillian passes Tina. The South America finish before Chris and Cara get to run. So, the X-Treme team gets 10 points!

After the first competition, Angela asks Chris to talk to Derrick about his drinking and drug problems. Chris used to live his life like that, but now he is a religious guy. Derrick opens up to Chris, and Derrick realizes that drinking away your problems is stupid.

The next competition involves chasing chickens, and when you catch one, holding it up in the air, and you time stops. Each member sends one person in at a time. The X-Treme cast was doing well, until Jodi grabbed one, but Tina stole it out of her hands, therefore Jodi had to go for another chicken. It was a close race, and it came down to Nick vs. Chris. Nick grabs one before Chris, and X-Treme gets another 10 points.
