In its second season in syndication, Starting showed double-digit ratings increases in both households and key female demographics. Ratings continue to grow, recently hitting all time highs. The critically acclaimed show has recently won a Daytime Emmy Award for "Outstanding Special Class Series." Monday, August 8, 2005 (Episode # 2053)
Sommer works with Rhonda to confront her fears of rejection. Jennifer establishes a new relationship with her mother as they discuss a very sensitive topic – her father. Kim prepares to come face-to-face with her estranged sister. Dr. Stan confronts Denise on her behavior and her sense of humor.

Tuesday, August 9, 2005 (Episode # 2054)
Kim's long-awaited day has arrived, and she comes face-to-face with her sister. She risks all of the progress she has made in the STARTING OVER house by sliding into her old patterns of behavior. Jennifer opens up to her incarcerated father and expresses feelings that she has been hiding for years. Sommer lists of all the risks she has refused to take, and realizes that they all represent lost opportunities. Rhonda challenges Sommer with an unexpected risk, and Sommer is not sure that she is up for the task. Rhonda asks Cassie to demonstrate the "bad" behavior gets the strangest assignment of all – to be as bad as she can.

Wednesday, August 10, 2005 (Episode # 2055)
Sommer engages in risqué behavior, wearing her new bathing suit, and then trying to charm her friend Ed into spending the night. Jennifer and Kim both have their biggest breakthroughs since moving into the STARTING OVER house. Cassie has to be convinced that she has not made terrible decisions and doomed baby Chloe.

Thursday, August 11, 2005 (Episode # 2056)
The women must face the ever-scrutinizing Board of Reviews. Two women are told they will graduate, while one is placed on probation. Denise gets off to a rough start when assigned the hectic task of being Towanda’s assistant. Sommer is confronted by the Life Coaches when her obsessions begin to endanger the progress of the other women in the house.

Friday, August 12, 2005 (Episode # 2057)
The housemates exchange bittersweet goodbyes as two of the women graduate and leave the house. Kim is upset over her new look after receiving a makeover. When a family member comes to visit Towanda, she does not hold back her feelings of resentment.
