Suzie started off the night with her own song arrangement of “Losing My Religion” by REM. After the performance Navarro replied: "Game On." He was nervous when he heard she was rearranging the song, but he thought it was awesome, completely highlighting her voice. The band added: “that was just a dream… and I don't want to wake up.”

Mig was up next and he once again chose a song he didn't want. Trying to keep his game up he sang "All Right Now.” Navarro thought that the song was awesome and suited him perfectly. He also noted that it seemed to him that he gave up his first choice in song a lot—and would like to see him fight for the song he really wants next week. The band added that for next week they want a soft ballad “make us weep.”

J.D. has been most vocal expressing his desire to be the front man of INXS. He covered "Crazy" by Seal. Navarro said it was an ambitious choice and thought he did a good job. He likes the ever-changing song selection every week. The band just thought it was a good thing he didn't go crazy this time, and Tim warned, “watch the pitch.”

Jessica ended the second set with “Come As You Are" by Nirvana. She’s hoping to stay out of bottom three this week. Navarro thought she looked the “best he's seen her look stylistically.” She thought she fought hard for this song because she thought it fit her. The band disagreed and did not feel the passion of the song. From her point of view Jessica “felt it,” but unfortunately for her it is not coming across. Navarro lightened the mood adding “you have gone light years from where you were when you started this.”

Jordis takes on Clapton's "Layla" this week and all she can do is her best. Navarro thought it wasn't her strongest performance to date-- but she takes risks. Kirk agreed that it wasn't her best but in his opinion, “it will still be a while before they see her do an INXS song.”

Brandon covered "Its All Over Now" by the Rolling Stones. Navarro observed that everytime he does a song with a southern sound—it’s great. Next week he wants to see “Brandon.” INXS added that they were concerned about how he would fit in with them. Navarro added that he likes Brandon’s attitude and how he's handling their comments.

Marty covered The Killers "Mr. Brightside." Ten minutes before his performance he decided to go unplugged. Navarro thought it was “Awesome-- great choice." He noted that Marty doesn’t always hit every note—but being a rockstar is not about hitting all the notes-- in his opinion Marty’s already a rockstar. The band agreed: “He's on the right track.”
