The following is a preview of the Rock Star: INXS results show set to air tonight, August 24th, on CBS.

After choosing names from a hat, two rockers get the chance to perform original compositions, and to the disappointment of some and relief of others, Deanna and Mig are the lucky two. Despite Suzie's frustration over not singing her own composition, she does a great job tonight on "Start Me Up." Later, Ty--who helped Deanna write her song--has another slam dunk performance on "Proud Mary," while Jordis uncharacteristically struggles with the high notes in Aerosmith's "Dream On."

When asked about not having the opportunity to sing her own song tonight, Suzie admits, "My heart just sank." Dave comforts her by saying she might have a chance at some point. Dave is impressed by Mig's dedication to having his shot to sing his own work. "[You] stuck to your song selection...Is there any reason for that?" Remembering that INXS strongly urged he stop giving away his first choices, Mig is forthright. "I gotta start showing that I really want to win this competition." Next Dave questions why more people didn't fight to perform their original songs, and asks J.D. for his take. J.D. essentially opted not to compete with this week's classic rock songs. Conversely, Dave asks Marty why he chooses the more contemporary projects, and Marty is candid in his response: "INXS is trying to move in a modern direction." He adds that the original dance-rock genre INXS took to another level in the '80s is booming again with groups like The Killers and Franz Ferdinand. Marty continues, "I want to make myself appear current, so the direction they're moving is current." Tim loves Marty's response.

Also on tonight’s episode, one performer trips on his way back to join the rest of the cast. Later, Suzie is shocked by tonight’s outcome, INXS chooses a song for Marty to sing that captures his personality, and Marty has a comeback for the criticism he received from INXS regarding last night’s performance. Lastly, Jordis shares her fears about the outcome of tonight’s show to her housemates.
