The latest release from Fishbowl Films is The Scorned, a thriller filled with lies, deceit and attempted murder. The interesting thing about this movie is that there are no Hollywood actors involved, only good ole reality television stars.

The movie begins 17 months in the past and shows events that took place at a Malibu beach house. We are brought up to date on the affair of Matt (Bob Guiney) and Nichola (Trishelle Cannatella). When Matt’s fiancé, Raina (Trish Schneider), finds both together one night, the results are almost deadly. Matt, Raina and Nichola become involved in a violent fight. The aftermath is a lifeless Raina floating motionless in the hot tub after having her throat slit with a fire poker.

After this brief introduction, the movie catches us up to date on the current status of the house. The house is being rented out by Oliver (Steven Hill), his ex-girlfriend Kirsten (Jenna Lewis), Seth (Reichen Lehmkuhl) and DQ (Jon Dalton aka Johnny Fairplay) for the summer. As time goes on, the house mates learn about the violent history of the house. After the death of DQ, a whacko by the name of Murry Ellis (Ethan Zohn) comes along to the house and tries to convince the house that the ghost of Raina was the reason for the death. At first, no body believes him but over time, with the help of Kirsten and Oliver, the three figure out the history of the past.

After Kirsten and Oliver visit with the landlord, Matt, who turns out to be the killer, they learn that Raina is still alive but in a heavy coma. After killing her second and third victims, Seth and Jen (Tonya Cooley), she awakes and returns home, the beach house. Upon arrival Matt, who kills her for good, confronts her. However, the ghost of Raina pulls out Matt’s heart and he dies instantly as well. During an earlier altercation with the ghost, Nichola endures the same fate as Raina did. She is put into a coma. Hopefully there will be a sequel to see the fate of Nichola and others.
