Jo ignites after her violent escapades on the previous home. Wanting to go home, Jo attempts to pack her bags and leave as the other contestants discourage her.

becomes belligerent and calls the police so that they can escort her off the island. The cast is relieved to see her go; who needs a captain that is going to act so fanatically?

At the challenge, each team competes to carry coconuts on large bamboo sticks without dropping them. The competition is fierce, but the Rookies are fortunate enough to pull off a win. During the Veteran voting session, the crew decides to nominate anonymously, which agitates Derrick, who wants people to nominate one another aloud in front of the group. Perhaps anticipating such an occurrence, Derrick is voted into the Gauntlet. In the Gauntlet, Derrick and Adam duke it out in an odd game where knowledge of prior challenges is more important than physical might. In the end, Derrick is triumphant and Adam is forced to leave the island.
