As the crew enjoys another night out on the town, Derek and Brad get into a heated argument that leaves a sour taste in Derek’s mouth. Brad, who claims that Derek has changed a great deal since the Gauntlet began, confronts Derek who does not support his claim.

The next morning, both teams get ready for the next challenge. The goal of the challenge is to body-paint six canvases with different colors, with one exception: the boys are clad in nothing but speedos. Titillating, to say the least, both steams rub each other down with paint as quickly as possible in order to win. Throughout the whole challenge, both teams were dead even, running back and forth to get rubbed down with more paint and take a team shower at equal speeds. Eventually, the Veterans come up victorious, cementing Alton’s plans to participate in the next gauntlet. At the team meeting, Alton announces that Adam will be accompanying him. After spinning the wheel, Alton is awarded the luxury of selecting which mission he would like to partake and chooses one that involves scaling a net, realizing that Adam is a good climber. At the gauntlet, Alton literally pulverizes Adam who is also an avid climber. Adam is confident in his performance and he leaves the island with a smile.

Back at the house, Brad confronts Derek again about how he has become a different person, and they both become very agitated and almost involve themselves in a physical altercation. Ruthie is able to calm the two down, and Brad later apologizes for being, well, being Brad.
