As members of each team are busy preparing for the final mission, and the chance to win over $150,000, it is unclear which side will be victorious. The game begins with an eating contest where each team must bet a gold coins on their team winning. Each team has 250 coins, and the Rookies bet one while the Veterans bet 248. The battle is quite close. Both sides finish within seconds of one another, and after a close call by the judges, the Rookies win this portion of the final mission. The Veterans are shocked, and in the end, decide to forfeit the mission.

Although the Veterans had good intentions, it was quite stupid to bet all of their coins on this event. Even though if they would have won, they would have pulverized the Rookies as the Rookies had done to them, but in this case, things did not work out this way. In these challenges, the team that is always expected to work together the best never does. The less-experienced team always wins. Why is this? Is experience really the strongest virtue in these challenges? Clearly, it is not.
