At least there is some positive change in Paula’s life. At the start of the episode, she receives a phone call from Dr. Cowan, her physiologist who will she continue to see for the rest of her time in Key West.

In other news, Zach and Crystal, his crush, have become very close. Zach, thinking the player that he is tells John and Jose that he only wants her to have has a friend and make out with, but that is all. He does not want a relation because he wants to meet more females and spread his boundaries while in Key West.

After returning home from a night of drinking, Paula’s alter ego, Paula Walnuts comes out for the night. Upon arriving home she goes on the phone to talk to Keith. However, she is a little too drunk and knocks the stand over that holds the phone. When she tries to call back, there is no dial tone, so she just leaves. Jose, Zach and Janelle go into the phone room to try and fix the problem. Paula has ripped the phone line out of socket and the wired needed to be spliced in order to be fixed. Zach tells Paula to shut up because he is fixing the situation and she is not. Paula fires back with, “Kiss my ass,” and “you have a small wiener.”

The day has come for Paula to see Dr. Cowan. She is very nervous and even contemplates not going. However, Tyler convinces her to. Meanwhile back at the house, Crystal comes over and Zach tells her his true feelings. He says he only wants to be friends but still act like boyfriend and girlfriend. During the meeting with Dr. Cowan, we learn that Paula takes diet pills constantly. Cowan tells her to stop immediately because they contain Ephedrine, which negatively impacts the body and constantly makes a person nervous. The following day, John and Jose question Zach about his escapes the previous day with Crystal. Upon further questioning, Zach admits he had sex with her. Whether this is true or not, I do not know, but we do see the two very close under the sheets.

Paula ends the episode by saying, “I am at rock bottom, I can only go up from here.”
