Last week Kellie Pickler spent a few days in New York City on special assignment for The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.

While the full content of her segment will be revealed on the show this week, Kellie and crew visited several locations in Manhattan including Chinatown and her first ever ride on a subway. 70 plus floors above Rockefeller Center, with a rooftop, panoramic view of the city, Kellie extolled, “I’d sure hate to wash all those windows!”

Tune in to The Tonight Show on Thursday, December 14 and see Kellie intro the segment with Tonight Show host Jay Leno. On Friday, December 15, Kellie will perform her hit song, “Red High Heels,” on the syndicated, Ellen Show. While Ellen is known for wearing sneakers and not high heels, Kellie has a special gift for her.

While Kellie’s single continues to climb the country singles chart, her album, Small Town Girl, which debuted at number one last month, is nearing gold. Kellie is the best selling new solo country artist of the year.

Kellie Pickler captured America’s heart early on in the American Idol competition with her quirky sense of humor and southern charm. She was considered one of Simon Cowell’s favorites and the idol with the most personality. The North Carolina native came from the small town, Albemarle, population 15,000. Pickler overcame many obstacles early on in life and used her stunning smile and bubbly personality to win Miss Stanly County and compete for Miss North Carolina 2004. In 2005 Pickler auditioned for American Idol in Greensboro, North Carolina and the rest is history. Her participation in the hit Fox show not only made her a household name but also brought economic growth to her small town.
