She was the best-selling, new, solo country artist of 2006, and now BNA Records star Kellie Pickler jumps feet first with her “Red High Heels” into 2007 with the RIAA Gold certification of her debut album, Small Town Girl.

It was a moment of sheer elation on live television, as the ever-engaging Pickler, guest co-hosted ABC’s The View, and was surprised with a gold album plaque in honor of the occasion.

The View’s Rosie O’Donnell, who made the presentation to Kellie, admitted they tried, but the timing just didn’t work for Pickler hero Dolly Parton to present the award, as she enthused, “Nothing would have made me happier than to see Dolly Parton walk through that door and hand it to you.”

Off camera, Kellie twinkled, “This is awesome! It reinforced that my dreams are becoming a reality. It’s almost better than being in a shoe department where everything’s half-off!”

Just released on Halloween 2006, Small Town Girl has already launched the first single and country airplay smash, “Red High Heels,” climbing this week to #16 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and #13 on the Country Aircheck chart.
